Statement

As the Region I Director for the National Association of Black Journalists I would be steadfastly committed to the principles of accessibility, advocacy, and accountability. I believe that NABJ must make a stronger commitment to engaging members on the local level and fostering connections with the communities where our members live and work. I believe that we must be steadfast protectors of freedom of the press and of diversity in newsrooms. And, I believe that we must do a better job finding partnerships, alliances and opportunities which allow the organization to have continued relevance and impact.
