COLLEGE PARK, MD (October 27th, 2011) -- The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) congratulates NABJ member and Communications Consultant Aprill Turner for receiving the 2011 Network Award from the National Black Public Relations Society (NBPRS).

As the highest honor that NBPRS gives to colleagues in the industry, the Network Award is presented to individuals who use their influence, time, and talent to benefit the network and support of African Americans in public relations.

"Aprill has been a dedicated servant of NABJ," said NABJ President Gregory Lee, Jr.  "Whenever we need something smart and savvy, we can count on her to deliver. NABJ is lucky to have such a valuable asset in its corner. I can't think of anyone more deserving of the NBPRS honor than Ms. Aprill O. Turner."

NABJ also applauds Ms. Turner for her tireless dedication representing Associate Members at NABJ, and her personal mentorship and volunteered time to the industry.
