Important: J.W. Marriott Miami Turnberry Reservation/Credit Card Notices

Dear Members/Partners:
 
Some of you with reservations at the J.W. Marriott Miami Turnberry may have received a notice from the hotel.The notice may have been sent if your credit or debit card has expired or there is an approval issue with your bank for various reasons.
 
The hotel is authorizing cards for ONLY $1.00, as this is the only way to know if a card is valid.
 
Guests will get the $1.00 back if they cancel their reservation or it will be applied to their folio upon checking into the hotel.
 
Here is the action you need to take if you receive a notice:
 
  • Contact the hotel directly before Thursday, July 25, close of business to prevent your reservation from being canceled.The hotel cannot hold a room without a valid method of payment.
 
  • For those holding several rooms under one name, please note that those rooms may be canceled if there is not a verified and valid method of payment on file. This policy is standard practice at the hotel when it has reached maximum or high occupancy.
 
  • In case you have changed your email address or just to verify your reservations, we strongly advise that you contact the hotel so there will be no surprises when you arrive.
 
As you know, sometimes notices go to spam or get lost in the numerous emails you receive. Please check your inboxes and spam or clutter folders.
 
Also, please note the incidental hold policy for reservations once you arrive at the hotel:
 
  • In addition to your room costs, taxes and the reduced resort fee, a reduced incidental hold of $100 per night(reduced from $200 per night) will be taken on major credit cards for any goods or services guests may enjoy during their stay.
 
  • For guests paying with debit cards, this amount is immediately deducted from the guests’ bank account.Incidental holds are generally released within 2-3 days after departure. For debit cards, funds may take longer to be returned if a credit is due.
 
Please call the hotel directly, if you have questions.Ask for the desk manager if there is an issue that you are having trouble getting resolved.
