ABC News Correspondent/ Anchor Kenneth Moton to Speak at NABJ Chapter Day Luncheon

What is Chapter Day? Chapter Day gives chapter presidents, chapter leaders and members an opportunity to explore creative ways to strengthen NABJ affiliated chapters. Chapter presidents, board members and members of affiliated chapters are strongly encouraged to attend. 
Opening Remarks: Siobhan Riley, NABJ Council of Presidents Chair
Chapter Day Luncheon & Seminars: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
ABC News Correspondent Kenneth Moton talks about the importance of building strong NABJ affiliate chapters. Moton explores creative ways to help veteran and rookie chapter leaders make the most of their opportunities. We discuss topics such as building a chapter’s brand, fundraising ideas and increasing participation and finances.

Getting Your Chapter’s Finances Back on Track

This panel leads to a discussion about successful fundraising ideas. We tackle the pros of keeping accurate records, what is needed to keep chapters in good standing with NABJ and state offices.  We take a deeper dive into your chapter audits and how it impacts you.

This panel discussion helps chapters learn how to rebuild their organization even if they are or were on the verge of collapse. We provide new ideas to help strengthen participation, your board and committees as well as successful projects. Seasoned NABJ leaders talk about their successes and challenges.
