NABJ members are invited to participate in a travel opportunity to Havana, Cuba, in January.

This historic trip is being planned by NABJ founder DeWayne Wickham, who has led numerous delegations of journalists, students and educators to the island. NABJ President Sarah Glover and Founder Wickham recently began discussions for a trip there later next year. In the last 24 hours, it became apparent that creating an immediate opportunity for a small delegation while air travel to the island is attainable without restriction was the best approach.

To that end, NABJ will join Morgan State in offering an educational journey to Cuba in January 2017.

There are up to 12 spots available on a first-come, first-serve basis. In addition to NABJ members, students and educators from Morgan State also will be traveling.

  • Total travel cost: $3,800 per person
