The National Association of Black Journalists is seeking proposals for an upcoming Regional Conference. NABJ's Region I will be holding a professional development conference on Saturday, September 29, 2012 in New York. This full-day event will consist of several panel discussions and workshops and will offer participants an opportunity to sharpen old skills, learn new ones, and engage in valuable networking.

If you would like to plan a session for this conference, please follow the guidelines below and submit the proposal by AUGUST 15, 2012. 

Our conference will only be as strong as its organizers. We need your help to make this a valuable and memorable event!

-We are seeking proposals for hour-long sessions. This includes panel discussions, workshops, and seminars. If your panel requires more than one-hour, please explain why and note how much time you would like.

-Your proposal should consist of a single page word document, sent as an email attachment 

-Please include the following information:
Email address
Phone number
Description of the session (include names of potential speakers)
List of necessary accommodations (projector, laptop, internet connection, TV, etc.)

-If your proposal is selected, you will be responsible for ALL planning, as well as supervision of the actual session. NABJ will cover all related costs and assist with logistical arrangements.
