The 2011 NABJ Gannett Foundation Award for Innovation in Watchdog Journalism recognizes groundbreaking journalists in their quest to help communities understand and address important issues through creativity and the use of digital tools.

NABJ is looking for innovative journalists with a collection of interactive new tools that have creatively addressed community issues on any digital medium.  All entries must consist of a single story, series, or package on a single subject.  Entries and supporting materials must be received by Friday, July 1st.  This award is funded by a grant from the Gannett Foundation.
