Amount of the Award: Up to $5,000

Eligibility Criteria
Competition for the scholarship is open to any NABJ student member who is currently attending an accredited four-year university or high school senior who will be a freshman in the fall. The student is eligible for renewal for three years providing the student:

  • Majors in print journalism
  • Maintains a minimum grade point average of 3.0
  • Works with the campus newspaper
  • Scholarship based on financial need

    Grants will be awarded upon proof of enrollment in school. All scholarship winners must be members of NABJ before the grants are awarded.

    Additional Criteria

  • To be considered and to receive a scholarship, all applicants must be a member of NABJ.
  • Previous NABJ scholarship winners are not eligible

    The grant is awarded directly to the recipients college or university Scholarships will be awarded upon proof of enrollment.

    The winner will be formally recognized on the NABJ Web site and in the convention program book.
