NABJ/CNN Scholarships

Number of Awards Available: 2
Amount of the Award: $25,000 ($6,250 per year)

Eligibility Criteria

All applicants must be a student member of NABJ.

All applicants must be a journalism major or pursuing a career in journalism.  

All applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and have at least one year of school remaining. Awards will be granted for the 2009-20010 school year.

Previous NABJ scholarship winners are not eligible to reapply.

Two awards of $25,000 ($6,250 per year) established by CNN in honor of the networks 25th anniversary in 2005. Awards are open to current high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in broadcast journalism. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 grade point average. No work samples required for award.

Applicants must submit separate CNN essay.
