2016 NABJ and NAHJ Joint Convention Request for Proposals (RFP)
Decision Making Process:

RFP Distribution Date: Wednesday, October 28, 2015
Proposal Due Date and Time: Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 5:00 p.m. CST
Decision Date: November 16, 2015
Decision Notification Method: Email

Anticipated Attendance: 3,000

Scope of Work:
NAHJ/NABJ is seeking a registration system that can encompass all the needs necessary to register its membership pre-conference and on-site conference. In addition, the system must be able to link the registration to convention housing.

RFP: Senior Development Contractor

RFP DEADLINE: November 17, 2015
LOCATION: College Park, Maryland

STATUS: Contract

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Senior Development Contractor is required to have proven business connections and a track record of relationships with major company decision-makers. The senior development contractor must have 10 or more years of management experience running a division or holding a major management position in a national corporation. The senior development contractor must also have major board of directors experience in which he or she was able to establish rapport with numerous business leaders.

 

The senior development contractor would use extensive business contacts to “open doors” and  assist in closing deals for possible partnerships with the largest organization of minority journalists and media professionals in the country.

 

The senior development contractor will be responsible for assisting Executive Consultant with a wide-range fund development plan by making joint calls to prospects. 

Some travel may be required.

RFP: Strategic Planning Facilitator and Operational Contractor

RFP DEADLINE: November 17, 2015
LOCATION: College Park, Maryland

STATUS: Contract
 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Strategic Planning Facilitator and Operational Contractor is required to have a demonstrated track record of successful non-profit organizational and operational skills.  Proven track record of navigating, creating and executing strategic plans are desired.  Experience with significant operational activities in the non-profit arena. The contractor is required to have extensive experience in customer and board relations. Track record of working in and understanding various non-profit business models required.

RFP: Customer Relations Concierge Contractor

RFP DEADLINE: November 17, 2015
LOCATION: College Park, Maryland
STATUS: Contract

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Customer Relations Concierge Contractor is hyper-focused on managing customer relations through over-delivering on association promises. The customer relations concierge contractor is required to have exceptional interpersonal skills and a demonstrated track record of exceptional execution of all phases of client relations. Sales background and training with a major corporation is preferred. The customer relations concierge contractor is charged with responding to customer concerns within 24 business hours or sooner depending on the urgency of response needed.

Concierge will also be very involved in strategic planning process that also entails changes in how the organization interacts with its customers; members and sponsors.  Concierge is expected to be a fully contributing team member charged with creating and executing a new strategic plan.
