I believe my experience as treasurer with the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists and other journalism groups has prepared me for this position. At the chapter level I initiated the process of securing tax exempt status for AABJ. I have learned a great deal about NABJ’s financial structure and challenges as a member of the Finance Committee. I wish to continue my service to NABJ as treasurer with a commitment to be a careful steward of our financial resources and accurate accounting to the membership.
