Registration Assistance Application

The National Association of Black Journalists has established tuition assistance for those who wish to attend the NABJ Convention and Career Fair, July 30-August 3, 2014 at the Sheraton Boston Hotel and John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center.
NABJ wants all members to have the opportunity to attend the convention regardless of their or their employers' current financial circumstances.
With the goal of providing educational support, career opportunities and multimedia skills to journalists of color, NABJ is pleased to announce assistance to provide complimentary or partial financial support for the registration cost only.
To be eligible for financial support, applicants must:
* be current NABJ member in good standing
* have a financial hardship due to loss of employment in the last 6 months
* have a financial hardship as a result of medical expenses and/or treatment for self or family member
The application is open to ALL applicants NOT currently registered for the 2014 NABJ Convention and Career Fair. Priority will be given to members who have been laid off within the past year.
Selected applicants will be awarded a complimentary or partial registration funding on a first come, first serve basis. Slots are limited.
To apply, members must complete and submit the application below by Sunday, June 15, 2014.
