Princell Hair to Comcast SportsNet
Princell Hair will join Comcast SportsNet as the new senior vice president of news operations. Princell will oversee news, studio programming and digital content. He will be based in Philadelphia .
Princell is a veteran national and local news programmer, having headed CNN's news operations as executive vice president and general manager of CNN/U.S., and coordinated news coverage for 39 Viacom television stations in markets across the country.
In addition to his deep news background, Princell has spent the past eighteen months advising internet start-ups on programming and content strategies to target online audiences.
Walton-James joins National Public Radio
Vickie Walton-James joins NPR as the Supervising Editor for the Midwest
and South. Walton-James previously worked at the Chicago Tribune where
was the Tribune’s Washington Bureau Chief. In her new position she’ll
cover some of the major news stories
in the U.S, directing NPR's coverage across 24 states. The Midwest and
South region is a central point for the housing and foreclosure crisis,
the Southern drought, the continuing rebuilding efforts in New Orleans
and along the Gulf Coast, and the 2008 election.
Brooks Moves To WRC In Washington, D.C.
Washington native and "NABJ Baby" Andre Brooks will join WRC-TV Washington as producer of its 5-6 am morning newscast. He comes to the NBC O&O WRC-TV, from WAVY-TV, an NBC affiliate in Norfolk, Virginia where he produced their morning news program.
