Pioneer Honored By Media Group
Belva Davis, who in 1966 became the first black TV reporter on the West Coast, won the 2004 Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Women's Media Foundation. Past winners include Barbara Walters and the late Peggy Peterman. Bill Cosby is set to give Davis the award Oct. 19 in New York. Now semi-retired, Davis, 71, is a special projects reporter at KRON-TV. |
