Nefertiti Williams, news editor for The Famuan, passed away on November 22, 2006.

She was born Jan. 27, 1986, in Sarasota, Fla. While attending Southeast High School in Bradenton, Fla., she was president of the Key Club and ran track.

Nefertiti came to Florida A&M University to major in public relations in August 2004. During her time at FAMU, she became a member of FACES Modeling Troupe, Inc.; The Famuan, the local chapter of NABJ; the Public Relations Student Society of America; and PRodigy, a student-run public relations company.
