NABJ breaks ground on new national home
On Thursday, May 22, 2008, Region II Director Charles Robinson and Executive Director Karen Wynn Freeman attended a groundbreaking ceremony for our new headquarters at the University of Maryland at College Park. View slideshow of event.
At the same time, the Board of Directors began its effort to raise money for that move from a house on the campus to a state-of-the-art facility.
And we ask our members to join us in this effort to showcase our future. In the coming weeks, we will roll out plans to visit all of our regions and chapters interested in hosting an event to benefit this goal.
Region 1's New York Association of Black Journalists will offer the first event. President Ciara and our Journalist of the Year, Leonard Pitts, Miami Herald columnist, will attend this special event.
We can only do this with your support!
Please join us at our kick-off event for our Moving Fund.
