Over 50 students from across the country covered the 31st Annual Convention, August 16-20 at the Indianapolis Convention Center. The convention  also featured the nation’s largest journalism career fair along with specialized workshops, plenary sessions, professional development breakfasts targeted to various journalism disciplines, a Hall of Fame banquet, gospel brunch and media receptions for veteran and future journalists.

An advocacy group established in 1975 in Washington, D.C., NABJ is the largest organization of journalists of color in the nation, with more than 4,100 members, and provides educational, career development and support to black journalists worldwide.
