| NABJ is compiling lists of newsroom supervisors from newspapers, broadcast and magazines, with hopes of later collecting similar lists from every journalism discipline or speciality, from news desk and features editors to radio news directors and online supervisors to photographers and producers.
Every list will be offered in the same spirit that moved Don Hudson, managing editor of The Clarion-Ledger in Jackson, Miss., to do the first list, top editors in newspapers: To provide a comprehensive, national networking list of black journalists in key editing roles, and to help promote them into high-profile, decision-making positions.
