Park, MD (December 23, 2011) – The National
Association of Black Journalists’ (NABJ) national office adopted two families
this holiday season.The families were adopted through the Family Crisis
Center, Inc. of Prince George's County, the only domestic violence program in
Prince George’s County that provides a 55-bed shelter with the necessary wrap-around
services to support women and children.
The office provided the families with toys, gift
cards, educational items, as well as gifts for the parents.
An advocacy group
established in 1975 in Washington, D.C. NABJ is the largest organization of
journalists of color in the nation and provides educational, career development
and support to black journalists worldwide. For additional
