NABJ is an association of journalists, students and media-related professionals that provides quality programs and services year-round to benefit black journalists worldwide.

Choose which membership category is right for you:
Multi-year Membership Full members can take advantage of dues savings by renewing their membership in two- or five-year intervals. Renew now for two years and pay only $180 (a savings of $20) or for five years and pay $450 (a savings of $50).
Full Membership $100 Working journalists, including reporters, editors, photographers, newsroom managers, etc., who produce, gather, and disseminate news for newspaper, television, radio stations, magazines, wire services, etc., and full-time freelance journalists.
Premium Full Membership $150 Same as full member eligibility plus additional benefits to include VIP express registration at the NABJ Annual Convention and Career Fair; special invitation to the President's reception at the annual convention; acknowledgement in the convention program book and on NABJ's Web site and other publications; a premium member lapel pin and a special gift.
Lifetime Full Membership $1,500 15 years as a full member plus same benefits as premium full member plus additional benefits to include a lifetime full member lapel pin; framed lifetime membership certificate; acknowledgement on NABJ's Web site and other publications; VIP express registration at the NABJ Annual Convention and Career Fair; special invitation to the President's reception at the annual convention and reserved seating at NABJ's Special Honors Gala and other special events.
Emeritus/Retired Full Membership $79 - Full members who have retired from active work in the journalism field, but who are still participating in the organization.
Associate Membership $75 Part-time freelance journalists, journalism teachers, and other media-related professionals.
Student Membership $40 Full-time students at an accredited college or university. Course of study must be in the communication field, preferably journalism. (Copy of current student ID required.)
High School Membership $35 Full-time academic students. Intended course of study must be in the communication field, preferably journalism. (Copy of student ID required.)
