    Choose which membership category is right for you:

    Multi-year Full Membership Full members can take advantage of dues savings by renewing their membership in two- or five-year intervals. Renew for two years and pay only $180 (a savings of $20) or for five years and pay $450 (a savings of $50).

    Full Membership $100 Available for working journalists, including reporters, editors, photographers, newsroom managers, etc., who produce, gather, and disseminate news for newspaper, television, radio stations, magazines, wire services, etc., and full-time freelance journalists.

    Premium Full Membership $150 Same as full-member eligibility plus additional benefits to include VIP express registration at the NABJ Annual Convention and Career Fair; a special invitation to the President's reception at the annual convention; acknowledgment in the convention program book and on NABJ's Web site and other publications; a premium member lapel pin; and a special gift.

    Lifetime Full Membership $3,000 Full life membership, plus free yearly convention registration; VIP express registration; VIP seating for members who purchase tickets to the Salute to Excellence Gala, Hall of Fame Luncheon and Sunday Brunch; exclusive invites to NABJ special Convention events and programs including President’s reception and NABJ Corporate Partners Reception; Green Room Access at NABJ Events; Photo opportunity with VIPs and Special Guests at NABJ Events; Exclusive NABJ Film Festival Event Tickets; acknowledgment in convention program book, NABJ Journal and Web site; a lifetime full-member lapel pin; a framed lifetime membership certificate; discounts to Media Institute programs; 5% Discount on NABJ Merchandise.

    Emeritus/Retired Full Membership $79 - For full members who have retired from active work in the journalism field, but who are still participating in the organization.

    Associate Membership $75 For part-time freelance journalists, journalism teachers, and other media-related professionals.

    Student Membership $40 For full-time students at an accredited college or university. Course of study must be in the communications field, preferably journalism. (Copy of current student ID required.)

    High School Membership $35 Available for full-time academic students. Intended course of study must be in the communications field, preferably journalism. (Copy of student ID required.)

    NABJobs Online - Online job matching service allows members to post resumes and search for jobs listed by participating organizations and companies. Media companies can post or edit job openings and also review resumes of potential candidates online.

    NABJ E-News Updates - Receive email updates to keep you current on news about black journalists and the industry; receive special reports that provide insight into media policy and other topics of interest.
