15th Annual NABJ Broadcast Short Course

North Carolina A&T State University

On March 17, 2007, North Carolina Agricultural and State University celebrated the 15th Anniversary of the NABJ Broadcast Short Course, a four-day seminar designed to acquaint college students with behind-the-scenes jobs in the broadcast industry.

The course was created to encourage more African American journalism students to pursue television management as a career.

Through the years, the program has provided over 600 African American students with hands-on experience in the newsroom and access to broadcast professionals such as reporters, news directors, producers, writers, assignment editors and directors at some of the top television stations in the country.
