Would you like to support a young rising
journalist? You can do so by donating a print to the National
Association of Black Journalist (NABJ) Visual Task Force (VTF) annual
photo auction. We raised more than $19,000 for NABJ scholarships at our
2011 convention in Philadelphia. NABJ is a non-profit Section 501(c)(3) corporation,
which makes your donation tax deductible.
The Visual Task Force also is inviting black
photography organizations to donate prints about the African-American
experience. We are inviting several New Orleans organizations as well as
the general public to attend the auction. VTF believes this will be an
opportunity to showcase your images to a broader audience.
The auction will be held during the annual NABJ
convention in New Orleans June 20-24, 2012. Submissions must be
postmarked by Friday, April 20, 2012. Donation specifications and
instructions are below. Any print you can donate will be greatly
appreciated. Thank you in advance. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 215-400-0021 if you have questions.
