Region III College Scholarship - $5,500

NABJ Region III wants to award a scholarship to a deserving college student
enrolled in a school in Region III (AL, FL, GA, MS, NC, SC, TN). The candidate
must have a demonstrated interest in pursuing a journalism career, a record for
community service, and financial need.

Specific Application Requirements:

 •Must major in journalism or a communications-related discipline

•Must demonstrate a record of community service

•G.P.A. requirement: 3.0 or higher

 Essay topic:  "How do you see yourself, as a journalist, influencing how
news will be gathered and disseminated? What would you improve about
the media business?" (1,000 - 2,000 words)
