outstanding advertising and marketing efforts — of individual items or
components that contribute to the success of an overall program or
campaign. These tactics — whether a newspaper, radio, or TV
advertisement, collateral materials, or social media strategies— are the
hard-working parts of any advertising or marketing program.
This award recognizes news outlets for their
marketing or advertising efforts that have significantly contributed to
advancing a community or public affairs initiative, demonstrates an
extraordinary commitment to public service, and advances the African
American community. This award recognizes print, radio, TV, and online
media outlets that have made outstanding contributions to
marketing/advertising news products and segments and topics of community
